How the Curriculum Centre Works

Picture
The Curriculum Centre is made up of a skilled group of teachers dedicated to improving instruction and student performance by developing and sharing curriculum resources, teaching strategies and the best practices happening in classrooms today.
We believe that your participation in the Curriculum Centre will be extremely beneficial for you and for your students. As a Curriculum Centre member, you will have access to our free resources as they are posted.
All our instructional resource are designed to facilitate individualized instruction and support differentiated learning.

Our Virtual Teacher Assistant
Our virtual teacher assistant is an invaluable tool for our students. It is modeled after real one-on-one interactions between a student and a teacher and enhances independent learning. The virtual teacher assistant takes the student through a 5 step learning process and requires him or her to become totally engaged with the learning objective. During the learning process, the student must actively demonstrate concept knowledge rather than passively click a button on an app or answer a mindless column of questions. Throughout the 5 step learning process, students are supported with a variety of videos and learning aids that are presented at opportune times allowing the students to advance in logical increments thereby reducing confusion and misunderstanding.

Resources at Your Fingertips
Teachers can quickly ascertain whether any one of our resource document is a suitable instrument to advance an individual student's progress or more effectively used for a group of students. The grade, subject, topic and sub topic are readily identified along with the explicit objective of the activity. This instructional information is clearly identified at the bottom of each resource download. (Click on the download key sample below for an illustration.) Consequently, the purpose of the resource is clearly identified so that both the teacher and the student know how the document is intended to engage the learner.
